This quote by Sylvia Plath showcases an important reality in the lives of many teens and adults today. I too am a strongly believer of this quote,i believe that if one has the proper mindset all things become possible for them. I also strongly believe that the reason people dont follow their dreams or accomplish the goals they set out is because they think that it isn't possible for them or isn't realistic. For example, most people say they want to be successful but they dont want it bad they just kinda want it , they dont want to be successful as bad as they want to party or even sleep. This relates to what Sylvia is saying because many people today will blame others for their misfortune but in reality its their fault, they are their biggest discouragement. Personally this quote speaks volumes to me because it stands true for me in certain situations, but upon reading this quote it motivated me to be a better me.
Throughout each stage of my life i have set goals for the future that help me to stay motivated and determined. Setting goals for yourself is a good practice because it helps you in a lot of ways, for example setting goals could help you stay on task and focused. The three goals i set for myself consists of long-term and short-term goals.
1. Before i graduate high school, i would like to make a difference in the lives of those around me. I have been inspired by a particular teacher who shared with me their secret to happiness, they told me that through making others happy you will become happy as well.Before i graduate i want to change the life of at least one person for the better, it could be something as little as making them feel safe or inspiring them to do good or even being there for them in times of difficulty.
2. After high school i will like to be attending University of Toronto by God's grace and through hard work and dedication i will achieve honor roll again in my grade 12 year. Also, during my time at the university i am going to achieve a GPA of 3.2 and these grades will help me achieve my next goal which is to get into Medical School.
3. Lastly, my final and most important goal is to become a doctor and help people in their everyday lives. I want to honestly impact the world and make it a better place , whether that means sacrificing my time in attempts to save someones life or just doing the right thing my helping the less fortunate but either way i want to make a difference.
These are the goals i set for myself and i will achieve them no matter what adversity's stand against me I will never give up!!!!!
For the past few years there has been a big spike in conspiracy theories, one source of conspiracies viewed by many is the kids show Simpsons. They have literally predicated the future multiply times, and the amazing thing is that they predicated it 10 -15 years before it even happened!!! For example in 1997 a Simpsons episode aired , in the episode homers son Bart reported symptoms of an unknown virus called "Ebola" . More than 10 years late this episode came to pass as the Ebola virus spread widely around the nation. Another terrifying example of how the Simpsons predicated the future was with the 2016 presidential elections. The episode aired almost 10 years ago and during that time no one would ever even imagine someone like Trump running for president but it happened, and the weird part is they got every detail from what they wore till things that happened such as signs falling. There are still many things predicated on Simpsons that are yet to happened and it will be interesting to find out how they play out.
I am you in the future, I've decided to give you tips and advice to make sure that you have a good high school career. Firstly, i just want to tell you that if you remember any of the things I'm about to tell you remember this one. High school is a transition period, its all about finding yourself, having fun with friends(yes that includes fooling around and getting in trouble SOMETIMES but not too much). I want to tell you to cherish the friends you have in high school because they wont be there for ever, some of the people you talk to everyday in a few years you wont ever see them or talk to them again. Yeah, its crazy because the bonds you have with people today that you think are unbreakable will slowly break apart with time. When this happens don't get sad or discouraged, change is part of life and the people you meet everyday give you an opportunity to learn something new and once they've served their purpose there is no point in them being there anymore(p.s its completely normal to feel upset during this period). I want to tell you that education is key but the key to education is balance. You have to have a balance between your social life, family, religion, personal time, and education unless sooner or later things will crumble down on you. My English teacher once said that education is key because it gives you choices. You are like anyone else, you weren't born into an vastly high income family therefore not everything was laid out for you. i'm not gonna lie it will take A LOT of work to accomplish the things you set out for yourself. But honestly,if you work hard and stay dedicated good things will come your way.
Also, i want to inform you that in the future you will experience hardships, you'll experience days where you feel like giving up, days where you don't have the strength to go on but those are the days that define who you are. Only during hardships and adversity can you truly find yourself, it doesn't matter how many times you fail, success will surly come to those that work hard no matter what.And especially during these times, i urge you to get close with God. When life gets too hard to stand..kneel and pray.
OH Yeah i almost forgot, the second most important thing you will need to know is that throughout high school there are going to be good and bad experiences but each one will lead to something new that you haven't experience so you should step out of your comfort zone. Try new things, you never know what could happened maybe you may like it.
Lastly, I want you to know that no matter what you do don't give up on anything. You can do anything you set your mind to, don't give up just because you failed. Look at failure as a stepping stone to success. After high school is over there will be many changes but remember that its for the better and don't forget who helped you when you needed. Before you leave high school i'm giving you a mission!! My mission for you if you choose to accept it is that within the 3 years you have left of high school strive to make a difference in the lives of those you meet. Becoming successful doesn't mean anything if you don't have people to celebrate that achievement with. Help those around you, not because i told you to but because its just the right thing to do.

Typically,a persons name tells alot about who they are and who they could possibly become in the future. As far me, my name is Charles. Some say my name is not a true representation of who i am because my name sounds "white". MY NAME isnt common amoung those of my ethnic group, but that isnt a bad thing it actually works to my advantage because it makes me unique. But i was given my name for a reason, my name holds a special meaning. Charles translated means close to God, and i believe that holds true in my life as i am a very religious/ spirtual person.
Topic: What is the best choice or decision you ever made?
The best choice i have ever made is to take school seriously despite what everyone says. When i was a kid i was labelled as one of those "dumb" kids who always tried hard during recess at sports. But through God's grace one day i decided that i wasnt going to let what others say or think about me become my reality and i wasnt gonna let it affect my life, instead of listening to those doubters and haters i turned my life around and started focusing on school and started my goals for myself. Now im grateful for everything I have, im not where i need to be but thank God im not where i use to be.

Social media is in fact not a barrier to meaningful communication because it is helpful in today's society. For example, social media can be a way to communicate with people from remote areas of the world. That's the wonderful thing about it, i could be on social media in the United States and be talking from someone in Africa. Social media can be a means of benefit during times of need, for example if there is an math problem that is hard for me to solve i can use social media and those on it to assist me in answering the question. Social media isnt a barrier for meaningful communication because it can help save lives, for example you can start a charity fund for kids in Africa through social media, many campaigns started through social medias and today those campaigns made the world better.But social media like everything else on earth isn't perfect, in certain situations it is a shallow means of communication. For example, social media encourages it's users to post pictures of themselves and based on those pictures other users may be attracted and urged to talk to the person with the most attractive picture.

Time is money
Something that I miss and won't get back is my time. I miss all the time that I had but that I chose to spend on things that weren't worth it. For example, as a kid I spent countless hours watching television and playing games but now I realize that it was all a waste of time because I could've been doing something productive with my time instead. I took my precious time for granted and I won't get it back. But I learn from my mistakes and now I know that time is important and I should not squander it, in the past I would waste my time on things that aren't relevant. Now I realize I could do so much with my time and if I use it productivly then the possibility are countless.

Shootings in the United States
In the past year or so there has been many reported shootings in United States. The shootings mostly involved police shooting innocent civilians.
Now to me this makes no sense at all because the police institution was built to serve and protect the people instead of killing them off like animals. On top of that in most cases where cops shoot innocent civilians the cops are not persecuted for anything and therefore are not held accountable for theit actions. I strongly believe that this is unfair because the police officers don't know how much pain and agony the victims family is going through because of them.
Lastly, there has been an increasing number of black men shot in the U.S and I believe this is inhuman because in most cases the men are defenseless or didn't commit an "official" crime. It's sad to hear about these stories everyday because I could only imagine what the family's of those victims are going through, and it's even worse that those responsible for this aren't in any kind of trouble. I just want a world where each and every person can live together in peace🙏🙏.

My own Bluebird
Symbolism is something that is used to represent another thing, for example a shield may be a symbol for protection. In this poem the symbol is the bluebird, and it represents vulnerability or emotions that the narrator doesn't want anyone to know.
The motivational speech "how bad do you want it" strongly represents the concept of the bluebird to me. In the motivational speech it talks about success and what you need to do to achieve your goals, and this speaks truth to me. What it means to become successful illustrates to me what a bluebird is because not everyone wants to show their true aspirations to the world and most people just conceal it rather than let it out. People dont want anybody to know how bad they truly want something, like in the speech.
From personal experience I don't let anybody know about my own bluebird because I don't want to risk exposure and I believe that is how everyone is.

Pink Shirt Day NS
Each year Nova Scotia holds a national pink shirt day. Nova Scotia holds this to help represent those who get made fun of because of their gender preference, the way they dress , and how they talk. Each year many teenagers are victims of bullying due to the way the dress or act, pink shirt day helps to alleviate their stress and help them feel comfort. Bullying should not be tolerated by any means because it kills many people each year and I believe that pink shirt day helps them feel safe as if they aren't alone in their struggle. Bullying is a national issue that needs to be stopped and there needs to be more days like Pink Shirt day to recognize those who are going through this daily struggle.

Raw Love Response
We as humans owe one another the respect and love that we wish to receive from others. In our relationships/friendships it is mandatory for both members of it to give each other their everything and nothing less. Honesty, love, and respect are key building stones in a relationship.
The man in this poem owes his girlfriend his all no matter his past experiences. It seems as if he doesn't have much left to give and therefore it is hindering him from giving his all because he believes it isn't enough for her to love. Also, even if this man can't give her his all he at least owes her the courtesy of being honest with his feelings because that makes all the difference in deciding whether he is a a good or bad person.
I personally believe that he isn't a bad person, I believe that he has been in love one too many times and through past experiences\breakups he feels that he is half the person he was before. I strongly believe that he is in a tough situation and he is trying to give his best but his inner voice isn't allowing him to give his fullest.
